Rockstar quietly removes Agent from its website
Rockstar power have sporty confirmed Agent's death, at interminable hold out.
Earlier this week, a Chitter user noted that Rockstar had quietly removed the itemization for Factor from its official internet site, where the supposed project has languished since information technology was first announced the whole way back in 2009. Polygon contacted Rockstar to try and confirm the official cancellation of Agentive role, simply the developer gave no comment.
Could this put up the final nail in Agent's coffin? It's not entirely clear, as although Rockstar has now separate all trace of the esoteric game from its website, the developer isn't committing to actually announcing that Agent has been off after all these years.
Rockstar's Agent was first declared all the way back in 2009, originally intended for the PS3. Although the game was aforementioned to be in developing at Rockstar North for a number of years, news show about the stake altogether halted, with the exclusive significant developments over the last decade being that Rockstar twice renewed the earmark for the game, before abandoning it in 2018.
That being said, we did get some leaked screenshots from Agent as far back as 2015. The leaked in-spunky screens showcase cityscape environments, prime for some covert sneaking business. Broker was meant to be an open-world mettlesome after all, so information technology makes sensory faculty that these leaked screenshots showcased some pretty expansive environments.
At this show, we probably bear a better chance of seeing GTA 6 over the next a few years, than we do of ever learnedness anything further about Rockstar's open-world stag game.
